This blanket is going quickly, square by square, depsite some little bumps in the road–um–seams. I frogged to the bump and reworked:
It is lots of fun to choose which color goes next to which others, and see the resulting mix. I have only frogged two squares based on color ‘mismatches’ so far.
However. I am thinking now that this will really take quite a bit of yarn. I am saving some colors to add at the end as well, to make this somewhat symmetrical in very broad terms. But I think I am almost halfway through the sock yarns I started with, and I am only this far in:
That would be row 3.5 of about 22. Â
Of course the fun solution is to acquire more sock yarn, but this was supposed to be stash-busting project.
To add to the fun, a colleague who is an enthusiastic sock knitter has just taught me the magic loop method. So I may want to save some yarns to actually make socks. Maybe.
I think I will be mining the stash a little deeper this weekend, to see what I come up with. Should be an adventure!
